Movin' right along dig-a-dooon dig-a-doon..

I've been struggling to choose a blogging platform that works best for me and I've moved over to tumblr (sorry Blogger!). I can easily toggle between my painting, ceramics and letterpress blogs and upload content more easily instead of having to log out and in with separate Google accounts. Anyhoo--you can find me at alluvialceramics.tumblr.com.

P.S. If you want to see my paintings: laurenbrandyart.tumblr.com + letterpress: paninipress.tumblr.com.

Lots of rain this month has me thinking ahead about Spring plantings..

I tried to grow all my tomatoes from seed last year, to no avail. The plants grew just fine, but there was no fruit to speak of. Lesson learned..going with seedlings this Spring.

8.11.15

There's something about summer that has me looking ahead. Maybe because it's really not my favorite time of year. I usually end up in a creative funk as kids are home and time to create is hard to find. This July--July 21st I believe--I decided to tackle a 365 project for the upcoming year. Pinch pots. Yep. 365 of them. I'm up to #15 (follow me on Instagram @alluvialceramics). Some of them are odd. Some are ugly. Some have feet. I love making them. They are listed in my etsy shop but selling them isn't my ultimate goal (although it would be nice!)..mostly just to play, explore and create with joy.

This summer has been spent planning, organizing, packing and moving (now unpacking, re-organizing..) for my new spacious clay studio in Sacramento. I do a little happy dance every time I walk inside. I can't wait to get settled and start making!

Gently floating, fleeting..

I wanted to do some custom porcelain ornaments for family and friends..and possibly anyone who would want one. I'm very pleased with how they turned out. To order your own, visit my shop!
